A day after a gunman armed with multiple rounds of ammunition shot six people, killing three, at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, the shooter’s identity and any possible motive are still not known.
“I want to be clear, the suspect is to blame for this incident,” Reno Police Chief Kathryn Nance told reporters in a press briefing on Monday afternoon, hours after the shooting unfolded just before 7:30 a.m..
Police provided no details on the suspect or victims on Monday. The GSR released a statement that no employees were injured.
Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve again praised the response of law enforcement in a conversation with the Reno Gazette Journal late Monday night.
