A proposal by a downtown Reno hotel-casino owner to build new skyways was approved by the Reno City Council in a 6-1 vote late Wednesday.
The approval allows Jacobs Entertainment to move forward with its plans to construct two skyways — one on Fourth Street and another on Ralston Street.
The two skyways will provide an enclosed, climate-controlled connection between Jacobs Entertainment’s J Resort hotel-casino and a future parking garage as well as a planned pool, spa and fitness center. The garage and spa projects have yet to be approved.
