Brian O’Dwyer had a distinguished career in public service advising the Clinton White House during the Northern Ireland peace process and serving as a commissioner of the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO and New York City Human Rights Commission before his appointment to lead the state Gaming Commission in 2022.

Since then, O’Dwyer has helped develop the rules and manage the state’s protracted process for awarding as many as three full casino licenses in the downstate region.
