Happy Valley Casino posted a new low in August for monthly gaming revenue, casting serious concern over whether it can rebound to meet earlier financial projections.

The casino at the Nittany Mall recorded gross gaming revenue of $2.26 million in August, the lowest monthly total ever registered by a Pennsylvania mini-casino in a full month of operation. Happy Valley Casino has now operated for four full months, and it owns three of the commonwealth’s four lowest monthly mini-casino totals since 2021.

A specialized consulting firm focused on gaming, Convergence Strategy Group, initially projected the casino to bring in more than $5.5 million a month in gaming revenue starting next year.
