A dealer at York Hollywood Casino was accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of casino chips, Pennsylvania State Police say.
Eric Sagnor, 42, of Paradise, was allegedly caught on surveillance video pocketing the chips when he was a Senior Table Games Dealer, according to the criminal complaint filed Aug. 7 by State Police at York.
Troopers said a chip was found April 28 on the casino floor in an area where they aren’t used, prompting personnel to look at security footage. Sagnor was also confronted about this chip by other employees, but he denied knowing anything and refused to cooperate.
Instead of “clearing his hands,” a practice where casino dealers show the palms of their hands to indicate they’re not hiding anything, Sagnor only showed his one hand.
