A Las Vegas hotel has admitted it was responsible for the fake listings that misled Strip visitors into thinking they were booking a different, more upscale hotel.
Vegas influencers were the first to flag the listings, which showed up on booking sites like Expedia. The “new” hotels, called Palette and Collection O, were clearly the OYO, formerly the Hooters Hotel just off the Strip. Photos for the Palette and Collection O were obvious redos of existing OYO photos, including the exterior of the hotel with AI-looking rebranding. Photos of the rooms were also modified versions of the OYO’s rooms, with uncanny candles and upgraded features.
