It’s time for the state of Kentucky to bet on casino gambling. We need to legalize it and quickly.
Derby City Gaming in downtown Louisville was a start. I know their numbers out of the gate weren’t what they hoped for, but with summer travel and extra visitors in town, I’m sure they’ll turn it around.
Now that we’ve taken that first step, it’s time to capitalize and bring a full-fledged casino to downtown Louisville.
A lot of developers, restaurant owners and businesses are pushing hard to resurrect downtown, and this would be one more thing for people to enjoy.
