Ontario: City in line for new sportsbook revenues from Shorelines Casino Belleville

Belleville may enjoy larger Shorelines Casino Belleville cash contributions to the municipality in 2023 after city council approved Monday to alter its agreement with the Ontario Lottery Corporation to include sports betting.

City councillors were informed that the municipality will receive four per cent of any new Sportsbook betting revenues earned from wagers placed at the Bell Boulevard gaming facility.

Sports betting is already fully under way at Shorelines after the OLG announced earlier this year that sports fans could place bets on their favourite teams at a number of casinos across the province.
