A long-discussed plan to revamp Raleigh’s 24-year-old PNC Arena is finally getting into specifics with proposed enhancements to nearly every part of the building.
Not all of the 70-plus projects included in a 117-page presentation delivered Friday morning to a Centennial Authority committee will make the final cut for the enhancement, which is expected to cost hundreds of millions of dollars. NC State and Hurricanes personnel will get a similar look at the projects next week. Decisions could come within the next three to four months, Centennial Authority executive director Jeff Merritt said.
“Time is of the essence,” board member Doyle Parrish said.
