New York sports betting spiked in July

Revenue from online sports betting in New York State shot up 10.9% in July, as handle rose 11%. Revenue was $156 million from handle of $1.4 billion. Hold was 11.1%.

FanDuel held the most, at 12.9%, while Caesars Sportsbook was loosest with 9.9%. BetMGM, DraftKings and ESPN Bet were closely bunched in their hold rate, at 10.2%, 10.3% and 10.4% respectively.

Although FanDuel trailed DraftKings in handle percentage, 34% to 36.3%, it came out ahead in revenue. It captured 39.4% of win against DraftKings’ 33.7%.

As for other operators, BetMGM had 7% of handle and 6.4% of winnings while Caesars Sportsbook had 7% and 6.2% respectively. ESPN Bet’s handle share was 2.6% and its win percentage 2.5%.
