Stockton University’s Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism graduated 23 people from its first casino industry certificate program last week.
The eight-week Integrated Casino Resorts Operations Certificate Program gives people who are interested in getting their first casino job an overview of the industry, Stockton said Tuesday in a news release.
It also gives insights to those who are looking to move into higher levels of management, said Jane Bokunewicz, director of the institute.
“When you work in the casino industry, sometimes you are in one specific area, such as human resources or food and beverage, and you don’t always get to see the whole big picture,” said Bokunewicz.
