New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced the launch of a nearly year-long public awareness campaign centered on preventing problem gambling, specifically in the sports betting world.
The campaign will highlight messaging about responsible gaming policies and practices that promote positive gambling experiences while minimizing harm to individuals and society.
These resources help identify when gambling becomes compulsive despite negative impacts on finances, health, employment, and personal relationships.
“As we learn more and more about the effects of problem gambling, especially following the legalization of sports wagering, we have an obligation to provide resources and support to the public on responsible gaming,” Platkin said in a press release.
