Internet gambling set another record in October with over $260 million wagered online, but the resort’s physical casinos also fared well last month, with their gambling revenue up over 9%.
Figures released Monday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement show the state’s red-hot internet gambling industry took in more money than ever in October, smashing the record of $248 million it set in August.
Monday’s figures also show the nine physical casinos won a collective $234.7 million in October, up 12.5% from October 2024, making October a good month both online and offline for Atlantic City.
“Atlantic City casino operators have extended the success of the summer season with the best October monthly total brick-and-mortar gross gaming revenue since 2011,” said Jane Bokunewicz, director of the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism at Stockton University, which studies the Atlantic City gambling industry.
