Toy City owner Steve Levy has announced he will retire after more than 50 years in business, a decision that puts the future of the well-known Key Road store in question as plans move forward to redevelop the plaza for Revo Casino.

Levy, 69, shared the news in a radio advertisement this week and posted signs at the store informing customers of his upcoming departure and a clearance sale. He said he hopes to find a buyer to keep Toy City operating but acknowledged that the business may close if no deal is reached.

The retirement follows more than a year of uncertainty for the business.
