State investigators allege a man defrauded investors out of tens of thousands of dollars as part of a Las Vegas sports betting scheme, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.

Michael Clough faces one count of securities fraud following an investigation at the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office, documents said.

In 2020, the office issued Clough a cease-and-desist order, saying he offered “unregistered and non-exempt securities” through several companies, including Sports Bet Brokers, Sport Brokers, Sportivo and Circles Network, LLC.

In a news release announcing the order, the office asked any investor who wished to file a complaint against Clough to contact them.
