Who is going to have the winning hand in the lengthy legal battles over a proposed casino in Centre County?
More court arguments have just been filed and with them comes more expected delays for the casino project.
The court battle is between the group approved for a casino license, SC Casino, and another casino developer whose bid was rejected, Stadium Casino.
In late January, SC Casino was approved for a casino license by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Their plans call for a new casino at the former Macy’s store site in the Nittany Mall, but you practically need a law school degree to follow what’s playing out in both the state’s commonwealth, and supreme courts, over the license approval dispute.
