The mobile sports wagering industry has raked in nearly $3 billion in revenues in New York in the first two years since it was legalized in New York.

Since January 2022, New Yorkers have wagered more than $34.4 billion using mobile sports betting platforms. FanDuel has been the most popular platform, with nearly $14 billion wagered with that company over the last two years, bringing it almost $1.5 billion in revenue.

New York taxes mobile sports wagering platforms at 51 percent, with $5 million in tax revenue used to fund sports programs for underserved children. Another $6 million in tax revenue has been devoted to education and treatment programs for problem gambling through the state Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
