The process to launch Missouri sports betting is in the midst of its next major step. The Missouri Gaming Commission published its rules for MO sports betting last month. Now, interested parties must submit comments by July 16. The commission will hold a public hearing July 17.
Missouri voters approved sports betting November 2024. While initial hopes were a summer 2025 launch, Secretary of State Denny Hoskins rejected emergency rules in February. Instead, the rules will go into effect August 30.
The MGC later confirmed a launch of Dec. 1.
An application period for interested operators began May 15. Applicants interested in two licenses direct from the MGC must turn in applications by July 15.
