Shake Shack, the burger chain founded by St. Louis native Danny Meyer, is nearing the opening of its latest St. Louis location, inside a casino.
Shake Shack will open at River City Casino Hotel, 777 River City Casino Blvd. in south St. Louis County, marking one of the first casino-based locations in the burger chain’s partnership with River City owner Penn Entertainment.
As of Friday, River City was targeting mid- to late November for the restaurant opening, a casino spokesman said. Details will be finalized in the coming days, the spokesman added.
The nontraditional Shake Shack stems from a partnership announced in 2025 between Shake Shack and Penn Entertainment to bring the brand to 10 casino properties across the country. R
