Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel is getting an upgrade in the near future. Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos announced Monday it will begin major hotel renovations at Turtle Creek beginning Sept. 6. The 10-week renovation project is scheduled to be completed by mid-November.

Turtle Creek’s renovation will be an update to its hotel, with a facelift to all 137 guest rooms. The rooms and suites will be upgraded with modern amenities and designed with Native American-accented interiors.

Every surface in the hotel rooms will be redesigned, and microwaves and refrigerators will be added to the list of amenities.

The renovations of the rooms and suites will be under the creative direction of the casino and hotel staff, along with Grand Rapids-based first Fuller Design.
