The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians experienced a data security incident that impacted government offices, health clinics, casinos and other businesses throughout Chippewa County.
Tribal leaders immediately enlisted the help of third-party experts to determine more on the breach, according to a Facebook post.
That investigation is currently ongoing.
