Somewhere in Memphis, Enrique Ramirez spent early September preparing an 11th birthday party that his son, Henry, would never forget.
When the day finally arrived, with family and friends in tow, he brought out a pair of Metallica-themed cakes, Funko Pop toys of all four band members, and an early vinyl release mounted on an easel. It was already a fitting tribute to a boy who’s literally had Metallica’s jagged “M” logo shaved into his scalp. But the kicker came when he unwrapped two tickets to the band’s October 15 and 17 concert dates at Sphere.
“He jumped right out of his seat,” Ramirez says.
