MGM Springfield reported nearly $22 million in total revenue from slot machines and table games for the month of August, up a bit from the $21.5 million reported in July.
The August 2022 results were also roughly on par with the $21.8 million reported a year ago in August 2021, according to figures updated Thursday by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. August 2020, when COVID regulations were still in place, was $17.6 million.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission reported that the month of August at Plainridge Park Casino (PPC), MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor generated approximately $92 million in gross gambling revenue. That works out to about $25 million in taxes collected, the commission said.
