One of the largest annual food drives in New England has found its new home.

The Mayflower Marathon will partner with the MGM Springfield casino this fall, aiming to continue feeding thousands of Western Massachusetts residents with a food and donation drive spread out over three days in November.

For the last month-and-a-half, the event’s 2022 location has been in doubt. In July, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame discontinued a nearly 30-year partnership with the food drive, saying it did not have the capacity to continue hosting the event.

The Mayflower Marathon is an annual 52-hour collaborative food and donation drive jointly run by Springfield’s Open Pantry Community Services Emergency Food Pantry and Rock 102 radio station.
