Massachusetts gaming revenue tops $97 million in October

All three of the state’s gambling centers saw their gaming receipts increase from September to October and the state stands to benefit from October gambling to the tune of almost $27.3 million, the Gaming Commission said Tuesday.

Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor together generated more than $97.3 million in gross gaming revenue last month, up about 3% from the roughly $94.3 million they hauled in during September. The state’s take for October was also up about 3% over September.

As usual, the majority of gross gaming revenue last month was generated at Encore Boston Harbor in Everett. The Gaming Commission reported Tuesday that the casino counted more than $62 million in October revenue, more than $15.5 million of which is due to the state.
