Maryland casinos see $173 million in May revenue, marking a 2.2% increase from last year

Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $173,152,961 in revenue from slot machines and table games during May 2024, the ninth-best single-month total in the history of the state’s casino program and an increase of $3,751,595 (2.2%) compared to May 2023 according to Maryland Lottery and Gaming.

Casino gaming contributions to the state during May 2024 totaled $74,449,247, an increase of $3,617,661 (5.1%) compared to May 2023.

Contributions to the Education Trust Fund during May 2024 were $53,663,328, an increase of $2,174,989 (4.2%) compared to May 2023. Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
