Allen Valentine used to do magic tricks for 10 minutes a night in the early 1990s in production shows at the Casbah at the former Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.
Thirty years later, Valentine’s top hat and rabbit have been put away permanently, but he was the producer this past summer of three shows at three different casinos in the resort.
“It feels good, bringing joy to people. … I love doing this,” Valentine said about producing.
During the past 27 years, Valentine, a resort resident, has produced 48 shows in America’s Favorite Playground. Of the nine existing casinos, he has done shows in two-thirds of them, missing only Caesars Atlantic City, Golden Nugget Atlantic City and Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City.
