Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported bomb threat Monday night at a Stateline casino, leading to the arrest of a South Lake Tahoe man, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched at about 9:50 p.m. Jan. 5 to Harrah’s Casino after casino security reported receiving a bomb threat by phone, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators said the caller threatened to bomb the casino after claiming to have lost more than $20,000 while gambling.

Authorities said the call was traced to Seth Maybee of South Lake Tahoe. Police located Maybee at his residence and arrested him at about 1:43 a.m. Jan. 6. Maybee was booked into the El Dorado County Jail on charges of making a bomb threat and making terroristic threats.
