Macau welcomes 481,000 visitors over six-day Ching Ming Festival, Easter holiday period

A total of 481,000 visitors entered Macau during the six-day Ching Ming Festival and Easter holiday period (5 to 10 April), an average of nearly 80,000 visitors per day.

According to the information released by the Public Security Police Force, 2.97 million people entered and left Macau during the six day period, of which 953,000 were tourists entering and leaving the city. Of these, 481,000 entered and 472,000 departed.

Inbound passenger numbers included 190,000 arrivals via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, with another 136,000 through the Border Gate.

During the four-day Easter holiday from 7o to 10 April there were around 340,000 visitor arrivals. On the first day of the holiday on Friday 7 April, about 84,000 people entered Macau while there were almost 90,000 arrivals on Saturday.
