The Macau SAR government recorded revenue from gaming tax of MOP$7.78 billion (US$967 million) in June, up 8.9% compared with May’s gaming tax revenue of MOP$7.15 billion (US$889 million) and 29.0% higher year-on-year.
The June figure reflects Macau’s gross gaming revenue from the month of May, with the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau having previously reported May GGR of MOP$20.2 billion (US$2.52 billion).
For the first six months of 2024 combined, gaming tax has amounted to MOP$44.8 billion (US$5.57 billion), an increase of 67.2% compared with the same period last year, according to information from the Financial Services Bureau (DSF).
