Paragon Casino Resort will welcome two rare albino alligator sisters to its Bayou Atrium with a public grand entry ceremony Saturday, July 25.
The free event will begin at 4 p.m. and mark the official introduction of the alligators to the resort’s signature habitat while highlighting the cultural significance of alligators to the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana.
Donna Pierite will lead a cultural presentation featuring traditional Tunica songs and stories, including the tribe’s emergence story involving the Blue Alligator and Red Alligator. According to the resort, the two protectors play a central role in the Tunica people’s origin story and the changing of the seasons.
