The Neon Museum has revived the only remaining sign from the famous Dunes Hotel and Casino
that is still on public display.
The grand unveiling occurred in downtown Las Vegas on Friday, September 26, following a five-month restoration of the sign.
According to museum officials, the Dunes entrance sign, acquired by The Neon Museum in 2002, is the last piece of the hotel’s iconic signage available for public viewing.
The hotel first opened its doors in 1955 and quickly earned the nickname “Miracle in the Desert.” It was one of the original glamorous resorts that helped transform Las Vegas into a global entertainment hotspot.
