Zoox will be the first autonomous vehicle company to provide commercial passenger rides at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport.
Passenger rides will begin Thursday, after several months of testing carried out by Amazon-owned Zoox and its robotaxi fleet, the company announced Wednesday.
“Bringing autonomous transportation to one of the country’s busiest airports requires true partnership, and we are grateful to the Clark County Department of Aviation and the state of Nevada for their continued support as we help shape the future of mobility,” Ron Thaniel, senior director of policy and regulatory affairs at Zoox, said in a statement.
