U2 will open its Las Vegas residency and perform the first shows at the $2 billion Sphere on September 29 and 30 and October 5, 7 and 8.
The long-awaited dates were announced this morning by Sphere Entertainment Co. and Live Nation, and tickets will be available through a presale on April 27 and, if they remain available, a general on-sale on April 28. Fans can register now for tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program at u2.ticketmaster.com/.
Tickets start at $140 including taxes and fees. Today’s announcement states that, “The larger capacity at Sphere allows for 60% of tickets to be priced under $300, and there will also be a limited number of premium priced tickets per show.” General admission floor tickets will be restricted from transfer and may only be resold at the original purchase price.
