The early arrival of Korean Air’s Tuesday flight from Seoul gave its 284 passengers and dozens of well-wishers at Harry Reid International Airport the opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the airport’s most successful foreign routes a little early.
The celebration just outside U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Terminal 3 included a greeting from two showgirls, passing out cookies featuring the Las Vegas and Korean Air logos and 300 flute glasses of champagne.
Greeters also passed out bags with flip-flop sandals that had “HELLO” and “VEGAS” printed on them.
Many of the arriving passengers weren’t aware of the celebration and didn’t know what the fuss was about as they entered the terminal.
