Drivers should expect to pay record-high Labor Day weekend gas prices in the Las Vegas Valley, besting the previous high set in 2022, as prices continue to increase nationwide.
The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in the valley was $4.90 a gallon Thursday, up 10 cents a gallon over last week and $1.06 higher than the same day a year ago, according to AAA.
Thursday’s number is 8 cents higher than the previous Labor Day weekend high of $4.82 set on Sept. 1, 2022, the Thursday before the holiday that year, according to AAA data tracked by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
