The former Poker Palace in North Las Vegas is expected to reopen as Club Fortune North in late June.
Reno-based Truckee Gaming purchased the Poker Palace in October for $20 million and closed it to remodel the casino, which was initially expected to reopen in mid-April.
“The renovation ended up being almost a complete redo,” Truckee Gaming CEO Ferenc Szony said Tuesday. “It’s kind of like you get an old house and you say, ‘We’re just going to do the kitchen and bathrooms,’ and the next thing you know, you’re doing a lot more.
“The project grew on us but I think it grew in a good way.
