Scott Thompson’s Monday show as long-running Strip headliner Carrot Top has been canceled as he “continues to improve” in a Las Vegas hospital.
Thompson, famous as a prop comic, has been under care since being admitted after a reported suicide attempt Friday afternoon at his Las Vegas home.
“Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care. He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him,” Thompson’s PR rep Jami Schlicher said in a statement. “Humor has always been such an important part of who Scott is and how he connects with people, and that remains true today as he shares moments of humor with the medical staff caring for him.
