The Kenosha County Board has postponed consideration of an intergovernmental agreement with the Menominee Tribe for a proposed casino until next year, citing the need for additional time and information to vet the deal.
On Tuesday night, the board voted 13-7 to delay formal consideration of the agreement until Jan. 16.
The deal pledges more than $80 million in revenue sharing from gaming proceeds and other contributions to offset public safety, social services and economic costs to the county over 20 years.
The tribe plans to build a $360 million casino complex that, when fully developed, would include a hotel, restaurants and entertainment venue with developer Hard Rock International on 60 acres just west of Interstate 94.
