Leaders in the Quad Cities were nearly unanimous in their disappointment in the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to award a new casino license to Cedar Rapids.
“This is a big deal and I opposed the Cedar Rapids casino. I supported the moratorium because we have literally hundreds and thousands of jobs in the Quad Cities with our two casinos. “The Regional Development Authority (RDA) is disappointed by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission’s (IRGC) decision to grant a new casino license in eastern Iowa.
