A longtime leader at a Dubuque casino recently resigned his position, officials confirmed.
Brian Rakestraw resigned as Q Casino + Resort’s chief operating and financial officer for personal reasons, President and CEO Anthony Williams said.
“Over the course of 27 years, Brian played an integral part in the growth and development of the organization, contributing to its evolution as a premier gaming and entertainment destination in the Midwest and long history of community investment on behalf of the city,” Williams said.
Rakestraw served as interim CEO of the DRA — the nonprofit license-holder for Dubuque’s casinos — after former CEO Alex Dixon stepped down in January 2025.
