Washington D.C.’s sports betting system has moved away from Intralot and GambetDC, but the gaming company may still face challenges in the District.

Intralot, which powered GambetDC and runs the District’s lottery system, is seemingly being investigated by Washington D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb, according to a report from Washington City Paper. The scope of a potential investigation is unknown, but Schwalb requested documents from Intralot as part of what looks like an ongoing investigation. The report suggests an investigation could focus on the contractor and its subcontractors failing to conduct promised work.

Intralot drew significant scrutiny in recent years, as GambetDC failed to live up to expectations.
