The bill to study a possible casino move is still working its way to the governor’s desk, but the Indiana Gaming Commission started the process Tuesday.

The Commission posted a Request for Quotation (RFQ), due back by March 14, to conduct a study on the potential relocation of gambling operations for the Indiana Gaming Commission. The RFQ would give the Commission options for study authors if the bill were to become law.

The study was proposed by State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) after his bill to allow the move of the Rising Star Casino to New Haven died in committee without a vote.
