Construction of Terre Haute’s casino resort is scheduled to finish in late March. The $290 million project will feature one thousand slot machines, 35 table games, a 122-room luxury hotel with pool, five restaurants, and six bars.

Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett said construction is expected to generate up to one thousand jobs.

“They’re continuing to hire people, there’s roughly three to 400 people working out there every day to get it built. So it’s a beehive of activity as they say.”

He said workers should have the building enclosed by winter so they can finish the interior. The resort is expected to create about 500 full-time and part-time jobs.
