Workers at the Hard Rock Casino in Rockford vote against becoming part of the United Auto Workers union.
President of UAW Local 1268 Matt Frantzen said in a Facebook post:
“I want to Thank everyone that came out to support these workers. I’d also like to Thank the workers from the Casino that reached out to us to help support them in their effort. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work out.”
Tuesday Nov. 2, union solidarity rallies took place outside of the casino. Around a dozen UAW members held signs and advocated for the union.
