While the idea of making money by watching and betting on the outcomes of your favorite sports may sound enticing, the numbers may tell a different story.
According to revenue reports from the Louisiana Gaming Commission, Louisiana sportsbooks averaged an 11% win rate on wagers placed through the fiscal year 2023 up to March 2024, with revenue totaling over $267,015,692.
During that time, Louisiana sportsbooks saw their worst month in November of 2023, when their win percentage fell to just 5.6%.
