We are receiving more clarification on how gaming tax revenue from the new casino in Centre County will be distributed, including how much the county government will be making, and the answer might surprise you.
As we have previously reported, the projected financial impact of the new Happy Valley Casino, which opened this week, is expected to be at least one million dollars per year for the host jurisdiction of College Township.
Some projections indicate that county government would be receiving a similar amount, and that would probably be the case if the Happy Valley Casino was classified by the state Gaming Control Board as a category one, two, or three casino.
