It’s been one year since the deadly shooting at the Oneida Casino complex. The Oneida Nation and surrounding community gathered outside the Radisson Hotel’s front lawn, to heal.

“It is an emotional day,” said Steve Ninham, the Radisson Hotel manager. “It brings back a lot of memories and it’s difficult.”

One year ago Sunday, former Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar employee Bruce Pofahl killed two of his co-workers and injured another. He was then shot and killed by three officers, to end the threat.

Jacob Bartel and Ian Simpson were the two men who died. Daniel Mulligan was shot, but survived.
