It’s been almost six years since Happy Valley Casino received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The casino is in a former Macy’s store at the Nittany Mall at 2877 E. College Ave. in College Township, a few miles from Penn State and Beaver Stadium. It [opened Monday] after receiving state approval following its successful completion of two state-required testing days on Friday and Saturday.
This hasn’t only been a multi-year project for the people planning and working at Happy Valley Casino. Workers from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s Bureau of Casino Compliance have also been on site for two years, according to its director, Gregg Hazzouri.
