Betclic owner Banijay Group declared €698m [$765m] in online betting and gaming revenue for H1 2024, marking an “outstanding” year-on-year growth rate of 52.5%. Of the total gambling revenue, the vast majority (€551.4m) came from sports betting, as the vertical leapt 41.7% year-on-year. Online casino also saw a robust growth rate of 51.3%, delivering €98.9m in revenue.
Poker delivered a further €37.6m, up 31.3%, while horse racing generated €9.7m amid year-on-year growth of 59.5%.
That growth across all product verticals was driven by an increase of 37% in the number of unique active players during the half-year.
